Regional daily newspapers can be posted in the SLN depots and in the mail centers. The posting office must, however, be agreed in advance between the customer and Deutsche Post and the last posting time must be specified. It is also possible to have the newspapers picked up by the SLN (free of charge for quantities of 1,000 copies or over per posting).

There is no minimum quantity. Regional daily newspapers and magazines can use the Presse Sortierservice (Sorting service for press materials if they do not post over 5,000 copies per posting as a general rule. However, the maximum quantity restriction depends on the distribution area and on the distribution of the publication and can be specified on an individual basis between the publisher and Deutsche Post. Larger shipment quantities are not, however, generally suitable for the Presse Sortierservice (Sorting service for press materials) due to the large amounts of time involved in sorting since it would not then be possible to process them in the time windows available.

Additional information or markings on the shipment are not required, although the trays with which the shipments are posted must carry a special label.

An additional charge will be levied for using the Presse Sortierservice (Sorting service for press materials). Billing will take place, as for the other newspapers and magazines, via a bill from Deutsche Post. The number of items must be entered in the posting list with a special accounting number.

A lead time of 4 weeks is generally required in order to determine the processing and transport flows.

Yes, a supplementary agreement must be concluded.
