Objection/ dispute resolution

General Information according to § 36 of the German Law about alternative dispute resolution (VSBG):

If consumers call upon the Federal Network Agency as an arbitration body to resolve disputes regarding rights and obligations in cases of loss, theft, or damage of postal items, or violations of the rights specified in § 34(1) of the Postal Act, Deutsche Post AG is obligated to participate in the arbitration procedure.

Prerequisite for calling the consumer arbitration board is a previous unsuccessful attempt to settle the dispute between the consumer and Deutsche Post AG themselves.
